The WUSC and CECI Uniterra Program: www.uniterra.ca The UNITERRA program provides opportunities for Canadian citizens to volunteer abroad in their field of experience. We work with local partners in 13 countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia, strengthening their capacity to successfully implement their social and economic development initiatives. Sectors include Agriculture, Animal Health, Dairy, Environment and more! Volunteer placements last from 1 month to two years. Volunteers are not remunerated for their services. They do, however, receive a basic living allowance that is determined according to the cost of living in the host country. In addition to the living allowance, Uniterra covers the volunteers' travel costs to and from the country of posting, and provides the volunteer with an insurance policy. Uniterra recruitment is a year-round process!
