Student Research
For colleges in Canada that offer AHT/VT Programs see AHT/VT
Programs.
To research the accreditation levels and their meaning see AHT/VT
Programs: CVMA Accreditation.
You may inquire to the program of your choice for more information
regarding cost, prerequisites, etc. If education at a formal program
is not possible, there are colleges in Canada that offer distance
education programs for AHT/VT’s. There are also American Veterinary
Medical Association Accredited distance education programs. The
AVMA website (www.avma.org)
will include more information. You should inquire of
the provincial association where you intend to practice, to ensure
that any program you do take will be recognized for membership.
Information regarding the veterinary profession is found on the
Canadian Veterinary Medical Association’s web site, www.animalhealthcare.ca.
